DESCRIPTION
Throwing it back to batch #1 on our OG 20 bbl system! The plan was to brew our first batch in 2012, but after months of delays and a few setbacks, we brewed our first batch on January 15th, 2013. We kicked things off with our OG Session Ale, Left Coast, later to be named Undersized iPA. Batch #1 was brewed with a jumble of hops curated from our friends in the industry. We bummed some yeast off our family at Boneyard Beer, which got lost in shipping, so batch #1 was delayed yet again! After the saga of opening a brewery, we indeed brewed a tasty Session IPA, when Session IPAs were “cool.” This beer features Cascade, Summit, and Zythos hops. We kept the recipe the same on the malt side, featuring a base of 2-row and a touch of Vienna and light crystal malt. This 4.8% Session IPA is crisp, flavorful, and full of hop flavor and aromas of tangerine, citrus, and tropical fruits. Enjoy this rendition of Batch #1.
